Our hospitality team’s first principle is to assure the membership's dining desires, large or small, are met promptly and properly.
We have a top-notch team of professionals
guiding Metropolis, starting with our General Manager Robert Kasara, who joined
us this fall and brings 30 years of experience as a leader in the Westchester
club scene. Supporting Robert is Kathy Trepp, our tireless Clubhouse
Manager who caters to the needs of our club community with a smile and deep
concern for the happiness of each member. Chef Peter Assue is a truly special
member of the Metropolis family whose pedigree, coupled with an unquenchable thirst
to expand his (and his team’s) culinary horizons, supports a truly best in
class dining experience for our members.
In general, Metropolis is open for lunch from Thursday through Sunday from March through mid-November, adding Tuesdays and Wednesdays from May through October. From
Memorial Day through Labor Day, dinner is generally served each Wednesday,
Friday Saturday and Sunday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we offer a terrific
“bar menu” of shareable items, which is also available prior to dinner service
on other nights. Metropolis is a sought-after venue for outings, private
parties and life-cycle events. Metropolis is a member-first club, so
during the June through September "high season," we significantly
limit the number of weekend private events and require that they be member
sponsored.
Metropolis boasts a wonderful cross-spectrum of
members with varied dining/entertainment preferences, and we strive each year
to develop a calendar of events that provides multiple choices for
everyone. Our lunch menus evolve over the course of each season and our
evenings reflect a mix of traditional Metropolis events and innovative new
dining and entertainment options. Our Sunday night barbeques are a Metropolis
community staple, especially for our younger families, and our multiple themed
special events, which typically feature DJ’s, live music and dancing, have
become “don’t miss” affairs. We are particularly proud of our curated Tequila and Wine lists.
